Every wedding we host at The Centennial Barn is memorable for a number of reasons. Each bride and groom are unique and I remember them for usually one specific moment of the day. But these two... Zach and Chelsea, have a very special place in my heart. These two seemed to demonstrate an authentic joy and happiness that went well past that of just being a 'bride' and 'groom'. These two had a joy about them that I've never experienced, especially for their ages. Their love for each other, the Lord, and for other people was overwhelming. I often think of Zach & Chelsea and hope they're doing well. I'm so grateful and blessed as I think back on the many brides and grooms that we've had the pleasure of hosting. We truly have had some amazing people pass through this farm. I'm very much looking forward to the wonderful couples we have the pleasure of working with this season.

When I think back to 2014 and recall all that went in to getting our venue ready, I recall one specific moment. All the hard work, the planning, the delays, the excitement, the standing back and looking at the finished product - all of these moments are embedded in my mind with various images attached to them. But nothing compares to that one moment when my very first bride arrived at the ceremony site and walked out to position herself to head down that beautiful isle. I found myself getting caught up in the moment as if I were a guest at her wedding. It was beautiful. Every part of it. But mostly it was beautiful because Annika and Peter were having their moment.
Since then we have had many weddings and every one is unique and beautiful. The venue just lends itself to that ability I guess. I'm always amazed how each couple brings their own special touches to the spaces we offer. I'm thankful as I look back over the past few years on how many couples have entrusted us to their special day. I look with anticipation ahead as we embark on our third season of weddings. Grateful. Blessed. |
